b. December 28, 1813, in Crab Orchard, Kentucky; d. October 8, 1896, in Mendota, Illinois. On September 28, 1829, Margaret Taylor married Edmond D. Taylor in Springfield, Illinois. They had thirteen children. Margaret Taylor was the daughter of John Taylor, Sangamon County's first sheriff, and the sister of Ann Hurst, Jane E. Kreigh, and Hannah Tinsley.
